Your gardens may just be hitting their full summer stride, but now is the time to start planting for the fall harvest. To find out all about extending your gardening season to fall and winter growing, join us at the Gutierrez-Hubbell House on Saturday, July 30, for another fun and free workshop in the Bernalillo County Open Space Backyard Farming workshop series.
Expert gardener Joran Viers (who is also head of the Bernalillo County Cooperative Extension) will share his favorite tips and tools for growing year round in New Mexico. Learn about row covers, low tunnels, hoop houses, plant selection and more!
The workshop will be held from 10am-2pm, with registration starting at 9:30am. Pre-registration is required for this workshop. To register, please contact Colleen McRoberts at Bernalillo County Open Space. The Gutierrez-Hubbell House is located at 6029 Isleta Blvd. SW in the South Valley.
