It was a beautiful summer day to talk about fall gardening this past Saturday at the Hubbell House. Our presenter, Joran Viers, head of the Bernalillo County Cooperative Extension , shared tips on how to lengthen the growing seasons in New Mexico. Joran, along with Gabe Baker Bauman, demonstrated several techniques for building row covers, along with showing how to start seedlings.
Thanks to everyone who came out for the workshop. Special thanks to Joran and Gabe for their work in leading the demonstrations.
Remember that while you’re enjoying your summer fruits and vegetables, now is the time to start preparing for your fall and winter crops!
